GameDrive 10 is a CD emulator that copies a CD or DVD as a compressed image, or "virtual disc," which can be played in place of the original disc, directly on the hard drive.
Because a hard drive has much faster access times than a CD-ROM drive, GameDrive acts like an electronic supercharger with playback up to 200 times faster than that of physical discs. This makes GameDrive a must-have utility where disc performance matters, as with PC games.
Virtual discs can be easily stored and transported on a laptop computer, a USB device, or on any just about any other digital storage medium. Using the up to 23 "virtual drives" that GameDrive creates, you can run multiple games simultaneously, easily swapping out games without having to handle physical discs or wait for disc spin-up.
